There was a honest nest at the tree (with a rubbish bin beneath it) beside our playground's basketball court. A resident lodged a complaint to our committee via "2A Community" whatsapp group. 

We made a report to Bomba from Cyberjaya . Bomba came and they are unable to proceed as the nest is too high and they need skylift to perform this. Was advice too that it's the second time they came. 

The next day, we approach Jabatan Lanskap at Majlis Perbandaran Sepang asking for assistance. That was last Friday afternoon. Yesterday we whatsapp to Pn Ruhaila, Pengarah of Jabatan Lanskap on this issue. She reply she will look into it. 

Today she advice us that she can arrange the skylift to assist Bomba, we went to Bomba Cyberjaya to meet PKPgB Izman bin Adnan (Penolong Kanan Penguasa Bomba), the Ketua Balai of Bomba Cyberjaya. He was most helpful and advice us to have MPS standby skylift and he will despatch his team. At around 5pm we received call from Bomba that they have made arrangement with MPS to come to our Taman at 9pm.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Puan Ruhaila of MPS and En Izman of Bomba Cyberjaya for their speedy coordination and assistance.

Selangor is to enforce water rationing throughout the state tomorrow in areas where there has been disruption since Feb 7.

Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said water would be rationed in stages so that all areas would receive supply every two days.

The Dangers of Texting and Driving

While it may seem like an obvious thing to avoid, the ubiquity of cell phones today has lead to texting while driving being an all-too-common sight on the road.If you find yourself tempted to text while driving, consider creating ways to make it more difficult to do so.

Try leaving your phone somewhere you can’t reach while you’re driving, or download one of the apps mentioned above.On the surface, texting while driving seems harmless enough. When you think about how long it takes to send a quick text message to someone, it’s really a matter of mere seconds.

Just don’t text and drive. It’s too dangerous and the risks are not worth it.But tests have shown that the minimum amount of time texting takes away from the focus on driving is 5 seconds. At just 55mph, that’s enough time to drive more than the length of an entire football field – more than enough space and time for an accident to happen.

Texting while driving has become such an epidemic that ad campaigns have been produced around the world to try to cut down on how much it happens. Laws have also been passed in a number of states to make texting or talking on the phone (without using hands free) illegal and subject to tickets and fines. And there are even apps that were engineered for some handsets to help users stop texting while on the road.Still, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, driver distraction (code for texting while driving) is the cause of 18 percent of all fatal crashes and 23% of all car accidents, the latter of which equals roughly 1.5 million crashes every year.

Texting while driving also makes a crash far more likely – up to 23 times more likely, in fact.Texting while driving is incredibly dangerous no matter who you are. It does not discriminate. Whether you just earned your license or you’ve been driving for 30 years, texting while driving is taking a risk. And not just for you but for anyone in your vehicle and anyone else on the road around you.

To buy an energy-efficient room air conditioner, you must first determine what capacity, or size, you need. This is important for two reasons:

·        An undersized unit won't cool adequately in extremely hot weather.

·        An oversized air conditioner can also adversely affect your comfort. The unit may switch on and off too often, without running long enough to dehumidify the room properly or cool the space uniformly. And it will consume more energy than necessary.

Use the simple calculation method described below to estimate the cooling capacity you'll need to maintain a temperature of 24°C with a humidity level of between 30 and 50 percent.

Step 1

Calculate the floor area of the space to be cooled.

To calculate floor area, multiply the length of each room or open space by its width.

e.g. 20 ft x 12 ft = 240 sq.ft

Step 2

Calculate the basic cooling capacity you'll need to meet the  cooling load.

Use this table to find the basic cooling capacity in Btu/h you'll need based on total floor area to be cooled.

Thus 240 sq.ft room require 6,000 Btu/h (The average capacity of 1 hp air-conditioner is 9,000 Btu/h and 1½ hp is 12,000 Btu/h)

Note: If cooling capacity is more than 12 000 Btu/h, consider installing two smaller units. Otherwise, a single unit might require a larger amperage circuit (20 to 30 amperes) or a dedicated 240-volt circuit

If the air conditioner will run only at night, subtract 30 percent of the basic cooling capacity.	X 0.30 =  -
Approximate size of room air conditioner to buy.	10 600Btu/h

Why RA & KRT ?

Some may ask why there is RA & KRT . RA- Persatuan Penduduk Taman Putra Prima Fasa 2A KRT- Kawasan Rukun Tetangga Taman Putra Prima Fasa 2A.

The formation of our RA is as a platform for us to deal with issues/vows of our Taman with relevant authorities.  The committee comprises of Steve Jong, Dr Mahendran, Ong See Kim, Pang Chee Wai, Joseph Lim, Lee Huat Cheong They are the residents who highlight our Taman issues to me when I was the Secretary of KRT. Not the preception of some that we are a group close friends (cronies) . Our committee have no hierarchy and members are equal, the positions just to satisfy Registra of Society.

RA have no intention of being a replacement for KRT and taking over our Taman security was never on our agenda. Also it's also a misconception that "One Country Two Government" theory exist in our Taman  We just coexist with different task and objectives for the betterment of our Taman phase 2A.
We are not funded by residents monie. We managed by sponsorships and membership subscription (Entrance fee rm2 & annual subscription of rm5)
