Program Jana Pendapatan Tambahan
Program Jana Pendapatan Tambahan & Program Membara (Membantu Rakyat)
DM is underpinned by three (3) strategic thrusts that have been identified as critical game changers:
Supply to Demand-Focused
Currently the Malaysian public sector spends almost 54% of its ICT investment on building information-based infrastructure. Initiatives such as the High Speed Broadband project have successfully ensured that the supply of the ICT infrastructure needed to prepare this nation for the change is in place. In order to fully leverage on the existing initiatives, Digital Malaysia will focus on initiating more demand-focused activities that will maximise usage of existing information and infrastructure to enhance ROI before obsolescence sets in. Digital Malaysia also targets to develop industries especially new sources of growth that will create high-value jobs.
Consumption to Production-Centric
Malaysians are no strangers to the internet. We consume information and use the internet extensively for social networking, news and research but Malaysians have yet to fully capitalise on the internet for revenue generation. Digital Malaysia intends to create platforms and programmes to nurture and grow netizens to become producer-consumers or prosumers. It also plans to create new income generation opportunities via new digital business models.
Low Knowledge-Add to High Knowledge-Add
Currently Malaysian companies have low business ICT usage, as well as low knowledge-intensive activities and outputs. Malaysian SMEs’ contribution to GDP also remains low, at 32%. Digital Malaysia will promote innovative digital business models that will drive the creation of high-value products and services. Through its projects, it will also target to increase productivity of employees through automation and innovative digital tools.
WHAT IS A DIGITAL ECONOMY?
The digital sphere consists of the interaction between people, services and technology online to create benefits for all. In the digital economy, online networking and communication infrastructures provide a global platform for people, organisations and businesses to interact, communicate, collaborate and share information.

Window Design can Influence your Interiors
10 Ways Window Design can Influence your Interiors
Ways To Go In Decorating Kitchen Interiors Ask any homeowner what the top amenity that they love about their home and their response is usually the views and the location. In fact, many homeowners can stand to live in a smaller home if it means they will have a great view, and the windows that deliver this view is essential. Every room in your home can benefit from beautiful windows and there is countless number of design styles to choose from. If you have been looking for ways to brighten your interiors, look to your windows. Here are 10 ways your home’s window design can influence your interiors.
1. Natural light is a source of healthy living:
Humans are no different than green plants. When placed in a natural lit room they grow beautifully and when kept in the dark they wilt and will eventually die. Natural light is the source for our body, mind, spirit and connectivity to the outdoors and is a primary source for healthy living. Regardless of how your window looks, ensure your home has a source of natural light in every room, when possible.
2. Choosing windows that compliment the room:
If you are fortunate enough to plan out the design of your home with an architect or contractor, consider the space the window will be placed in. Tall ceilings and voluminous rooms could benefit from clearstory windows high above the ground or multistory windows that are typical in atriums and multistory foyers. Smaller rooms can still take advantage of plentiful sunlight and views with windows that have a lower sill height to the floor. Choose a style that takes into account your room’s best features.
3. Framing the perfect view outside your home:
There is nothing quite like waking up to a picturesque view of the ocean through floor to ceiling glass windows or enjoying the city lights below through your curtain wall windows of your urban loft. Windows are more than just openings in the wall, they help you capture the outdoors and bring them into your home. If designing your home from the beginning, determine what perfect views you want to capture first and then choose a window that will enhance it.
4. Opening your ceiling view with skylights:
Another wonderful way to take advantage of natural light is through skylights. Your ceiling or “5th wall” has always been a surface that many homeowners forget about when designing their interiors. Skylights offer privacy and a source of natural light to rooms that normally couldn’t because of lack of space for windows on exterior walls. Skylights also serve as a design feature and come in fixed and operable varieties and you can install window treatments over them for light control.
5. Consider a variety of opacities for your privacy needs:
Do you have that room in your home where you would love to have natural light pour in but you need privacy too? Bathrooms are a prime example of where privacy is priority but bringing in light is as well. Consider a variety of opacity levels for your window style. Transparent glass you can see straight through, while translucent glass is common in glass block windows in bathrooms. The view is obscured but natural light can still enter. There are many window manufacturers that offer a variety of windows for your privacy and design specifications.
6. Clerestory windows let in light but leave valuable wall space free
In many homes wall space is at a premium. Whether you are an art collector and like to display wall artwork or you prefer privacy on certain exteriors walls, clerestory windows are the perfect solution. Clerestory windows are located high off the finish floor level, usually close to the roofline to still enable natural light to pour in but frees up valuable wall space. They also are used as a design feature by architects to give the appearance of the roofline as floating above the structure and can be used in a variety of applications.
7. Design your windows around the orientation of your property
If you are in the planning stages of your home consider the geographic location of your home and how your house will be situated on your property in accordance with the sun. Architects and contractors alike will tell you to “walk the property” when choosing design features of your home. You may not want to put a window wall of glass in a bedroom where the early sun wakes you if you’re a late riser! Similarly look at climatic changes and seasonal changes for your area to maximize hot and cold temperature changes when choosing the right window.
8. Use a variety of shapes and sizes of windows for visual interest
There are no specific design rules when it comes to choosing window shapes and sizes and therefore let your design side come out when choosing the perfect ones! Many architects like to play with voids and solid space on walls and place windows in interesting configurations that are appealing to the eye as well as takes advantages of gorgeous views. From rectilinear and curvilinear varieties to custom shaped windows look to window manufacturers to see all of the options available to you.
9. Look to solar glazing to save energy and your furnishings
Another consideration when choosing windows is how much heat gain and loss through your glazing or windows is transmitted. Several window manufacturers sell solar glazing or windows that keep more harmful Ultraviolet or UV light from penetrating into your home. We already know the potential harmful affects of UV light when outdoors but the light can also fade your furniture and finishes as well.
10. Use your window wall as the “artwork” for your interiors
There isn’t any better piece of wall art than nature. When choosing colors and finishes for your rooms look outside to the view to get inspiration. A kitchen that overlooks a gorgeous garden through picture frame windows may not need a lot of color to compete with the beautiful view. Windows can help you reinvent your interiors by using the view as inspiration!Freshome readers we’d love to hear how your windows inspire your home’s design.
Happy redecorating ~ Terence

Security Issue
On 24th October 2013, a house in Jalan PP 1 / 2 was broken into between 2am to 5am. Besides valuable the resident's car was driven away.
I received a call from the resident about a week later Trying to explain to the resident that security issues are under our KRT and advice to contact Mr Jimmy Chiew. We would not want to intervene into KRT jurisdiction
In a futile effort in explanation, I agree to try assisting in follow up with Balai Polis Putra Perdana (Tmn Putra Prima)
On 4th Nov , I received a call from IPD Sepang informing that the car was recovered and returned to the owner.
I made a courtesy call to the resident to clarify the case. What was thrown at myself was unacceptable. Claiming that car found then called him what if the car haven't found then I will not call him.
To strongly emphasis the following :-
Firstly when we first enquire the case it was under investigation, so what is the point of calling when there is no answer yet
Secondly we have tried to assist in follow up only. None of our committee members are attached with PDRM . What you expect us to do. ...hire a private investigator ???
Thirdly our security guards are a preventive measure and not 100% security tight. ...even high security area like banks too fall prey to burglaries and robberies
Fourthly RM30 per month is our security fees and not RM 3000. It's utterly unfair to question why we need to pay security fees and there are still break in. Then pay rm3000 you shall have a security guard protecting your house 24/7 .
Remember KRT or RA committee members are NOT RECEIVING ANY ALLOWANCE . If you think you can do better then by all means join their committee, am sure they will accept you with open arms!
Be fair, the committee members are residents too of this Taman.
A reminder to all residents our RA do not collect any security fees and security issues have been always under the jurisdiction of our KRT. We will not entertain anymore security issues in future, after this incident. Please contact KRT committee.

Mistakes When Selling Your Home
Selling your home can be one of the most exciting times in your life. An opportunity to move to a new location and hopefully make a profit from the sale of your home is important. Before you get too excited about seeing the “Sold” sign out on your lawn there are several common mistakes that many home sellers make.
From when to sell to not hiring a Realtor they trust to not knowing the current housing market conditions – all of these and more can lead to a frustrating time for you & your family. Take a look at these 10 mistakes home sellers make and try to avoid them when possible.
1. Selling your home before you’re ready:
Putting your house on the market can be thrilling and exciting but it can also be a mental, physical and emotional experience that can go on for weeks or months if you’re not ready. Before you decide to throw up the “For Sale” sign, examine why you are ready to move, talk it over with your family and friends and neighbors if necessary. If you need to make a “Pros” and “Cons” list to weigh the alternatives, do so to ensure you are really ready to sell your home.
2. Entering the housing market blindly:
Over the last few years the housing market has gone through historic lows due to the global economy, but experts say it is beginning to come back. Before selling your home you still need to examine your local and neighboring communities housing market statistics. If you live in a high-demanded area for tourists, executives or that is has prime real estate value in terms of worth then your outlook could be better than a neighboring community that has 1/3 of their properties on the market, and has for the last 6 months.
3. Choosing to sell your home “By-Owner” without research:
You probably have heard examples of homeowners selling their homes by themselves or For Sale By Owner (FSBO) and raking in plenty of profits from the sale. While this scenario isn’t unheard of – the behind the scenes reality is that research needs to be done first. Knowing how to show your home to perspective buyers, knowing how to relate to Realtors, understanding the legalities of selling your home and other factors will come into play. Ensure you do your research before embarking on selling your home yourself.
4. Not trusting your own instincts when hiring a Realtor:
While hiring a Realtor can be a major plus when selling your home, remember that you probably know your home better than anyone. Trust your instincts when it comes to personal decisions about your home. A Realtor should be able to help you price your home, research comparable properties that have sold and that are currently on the market, etc.. If your Realtor is asking you to sell your home in a way that doesn’t suit your style, personal preferences or beliefs, consider hiring one that will work better with you. There are plenty of real estate professionals that can suit your needs.
5. Hiring a Realtor based on personal preference:
We all may have a Realtor in the family or know one that is a friend of a friend. While this may be great on a personal level, ensure you research their history of selling homes in your area. While knowing your Realtor personally may be an advantage it can also be disadvantage when you disagree on selling tactics and other important home decisions. Check their professional background before hiring.
6. Over customizing your home for your neighborhood’s worth
We all love to have the latest trends in technology in our home’s right? Remember there is a limit when upgrading your home past the “norm” for your neighborhood. Upgrading your kitchen and master bath are two rooms you will most likely get a higher return on investment. Keep in mind – a 50,000 renovation doesn’t equate to raising your asking price the equivalent amount. When making renovations try and stay in-line with your neighboring houses that may become the competition in future years.
7. Pricing your home based on how much profit you’d like to make
There is no doubt that pricing your home can be a tricky effort if you aren’t armed with the right information. While it may seem a challenge these factors should come into the decision: What price have comparable homes sold for in your area? How long has it been since a comparable house has sold in your area? What is the condition of your home and what amenities does it have? Lastly, have a professional appraiser assess the value of your home before you formulate your asking price. Don’t arbitrarily pick a price based on how much you’d like to profit from the home sale.
8. Letting your emotions rule your head in negotiating with buyers
Let’s face it; you have put your heart and soul into your home. You’ve raised a family in your home, upgraded amenities and it now has sentimental value to you and your family. When negotiating price and other factors with potential buyers, your personal emotions should remain out of it. Your home is for sale and soon someone else will own it. Remember it is now a commodity and should be considered as such.
9. Not disclosing problems or past history of your home
You’re trying to sell your home – so you don’t want to disclose that you had a major water leak in the upstairs bathroom 5 years ago, right? Wrong! When selling your home don’t try to keep the home’s past history a secret. A home inspector could locate the problem(s) later into negotiations or the past history could affect the safety of the future homeowners. Be honest and take care of all repairs before attempting to sell your home.
10. Trying to sell your home before it’s physically ready
While you may be anxious to get your home sold, don’t rush making repairs, cosmetic upgrades, planting attractive curb appeal or even home staging your home before putting it on the market. The home selling market is competitive and if you want the shortest time possible on the market, take your time and replace old carpet, aging appliances, and any other home improvement that will make your home a welcoming abode that any home buyer would love to make an offer for!Freshome readers tell us what common mistakes you’ve made when selling your home!
